Take a walk through Pioneer Square and explore 22 art frames through the neighborhood – the new open-air gallery initiative by ARTXIV and Forest for the Trees. This public art project offers both local and visiting artists a platform to engage the community, while transforming public spaces into immersive art experiences.
Traditionally, Pioneer Square has been home to one of the city’s most popular monthly art walks. While the art walk draws significant crowds 12 days each year, this new infrastructure extends the experience by transforming the neighborhood into a continuous, year round open-air gallery. Adorning the historic buildings along bustling main streets and tucked-away alleyways, the framed installations encourage residents and visitors alike to explore and engage with public art at any time.
