explore pioneer square
Welcome to the Original Seattle Neighborhood – rich in history, arts, culture, and food!
Join METHOD Gallery for an intimate afternoon conversation exploring Tender, a site-responsive installation by Pacific Northwest sculptor and public artist Kristin Tollefson.
In dialogue with curator and educator Ellen Ito, Tollefson will unpack the material processes, emotional resonance, and spatial phenomenology shaping the exhibition. Tender investigates themes of vulnerability, labor, and connection—pushing against rigid architectural boundaries through meticulous, hand-crafted forms that evoke quiet resilience and sensory presence.
The artist talk will run for approximately 45 minutes, followed by an open audience Q&A. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to experience the installation prior to the talk.
