Victorian Puzzle Valentine Workshop with Amanda

Come join Amanda and learn how to make your own Victorian Puzzle Purse Valentines (or anti- Valentines).

Each participant will be able to make / take home up to (2) puzzle purses!

Puzzle purses are intricately decorated folded cards (think origami!) that have been used for Valentine’s Day messages for hundreds of years. As you unfold the card, a secret message emerges! In Japan, they have been used as an envelope or a coin purse for even longer.

In this workshop, you will be making two puzzle purses in a modified design that also includes a secret box underneath: for chocolates, potpourri, a friendship bracelet, a portrait of a pet, or whatever other token of love fits your seasonal mood. Perfect for gifting to your bestie, your crush, your mom, or whoever in your life deserves a little extra handmade Valentine’s Day love!”
