Welcome to the Original Seattle Neighborhood – rich in history, arts, culture, and food!
Allison Collins’ solo exhibition with the gallery, ‘Warp, Weft and Landlines,’ opens First Thursday, October 1, from 6 – 8 pm with the artist in attendance. Collins is recognized for her abstract landscapes, often inspired by the topography of the Pacific Northwest, Eastern Washington and beyond. Her compositions are often described as quilted landscapes, taking inspiration from the tradition of fabric arts like Rag Rugs, Gee’s Bend and Amish quilts. The look and feel of woven textiles are an intrinsic part of Collins’ unmistakable visual language. ‘Warp, Weft and Landlines’ is on display until Saturday, October 24.
