Join us for a special evening of art, archives, history, and community at the Seattle Black Panther Party Interpretive Center. Explore original artwork, community archives, Seattle Black Panther Party history, and The Prelude exhibition — with live music from DJ Sleepy and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, 5–8 PM.
Then stay for A Black Panther Party Presentation with Na’eem Shareef — a former member of the Seattle Chapter of the Black Panther Party, the first chapter authorized outside of California. Na’eem shares firsthand stories from organizing with the Party — from the Children’s Free Breakfast Program to the Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center — and takes audience questions. This is history told by someone who lived it.
This is a quarterly speaker series — Na’eem returns Sept 3, March 4 & June 3.
