Welcome to the Original Seattle Neighborhood – rich in history, arts, culture, and food!
Gallery N°85 is excited to present Burn Rubber: The Prints of Lockwood Dennis July 2nd through August 1st, 2026. We couldn’t proclaim to share the printmaking history of Seattle without sharing the work of Lockwood Dennis. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon and educated at Whitman College in Walla Walla and the University of Washington here in Seattle; it’s hard to get more Northwest than Lockwood Dennis. Few have understood or captured the Northwest’s unique charms with the same humor. We love his smiling cars, colorful cranes, and towering ferries. Though the human figure is mostly absent in his work, people are everywhere. We are represented by our cars, our homes, and our industries. We hope you’ll join us in remembering Northwest legend Lockwood Dennis and see his joy around every street corner.
