Ed Archie NoiseCat – Solo Exhibit

Ed Archie NoiseCat’s solo exhibit opens on First Thursday, May 7th, from 5 – 8 pm, with the artist in attendance; he will give a brief talk at some point during the evening. Raised in British Columbia’s remote, mountainous interior with his mother’s people, the Canim Lake Band of Shuswap Indians, Ed draws inspiration from his mother’s plateau culture and from his father’s people, the Stlitlimx, closer to the coast. He draws on the stories of his ancestors to create innovative images executed with extraordinary craftsmanship. Ed works in wood, bronze, silver, gold, glass, print, and more, with range from monumental public art installations to smaller works imbued experience with and inspired by the people, tricksters, tragedies, and triumphs of the Indigenous experience.

Exhibition Dates: May 7, 2026 – May 30, 2026
In addition to the exhibit itself, Stonington Gallery will host Ed for a FREE carving demonstration that is open to the public on Saturday, May 23rd, from 2 to 4 pm. We hope to see you there!
