GO’C Welcomes Tacoma-based artist Dierdre Patterson as its second of three artists showing in their space in 2026.
Patterson’s work approaches abstraction as a formal language and a space for reclaiming emotional interiority, aspiration, and memory beyond representation. Working primarily in painting, she uses color, form, layering, and spatial composition to hold emotional conditions without relying on direct depiction. Her work draws from fragments of lived and imagined experience, including architecture, fashion, natural environments, and personal memory, which are reduced and reorganized into compositional systems guided by both intuition and structure.
Come help us kick off Dierdre Patterson’s exhibition at an opening reception June 4th from 5-8PM during the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk. Our GO’C office in the historic Schwabacher Building at 89 Yesler Way will be open to the public to gather, experience Patterson’s work, and celebrate the connection between art and architecture.
