First Thursday at Prairie Underground Pop-Up: Huma Watarina by röpa Capsule
Join us for First Thursday Art Walk as Prairie Underground welcomes K. Espinosa and röpa Capsule for the debut of Huma Watarina, a new hat collection inspired by the traditions and craftsmanship of the Kichwa-Otavalo people of Ecuador.
Rooted in Ecuadorian heritage, the collection reinterprets the traditional Huma Watarina—a folded wool head wrap worn for protection and symbolizing balance and duality in the Andean worldview.
Alongside the collection, explore Prairie Underground’s Seattle-made apparel, designed and produced locally using organic cotton and small-batch manufacturing.
