Krogstad Photography at Peter Miller Books

Seattle based architectural photographer Gregg Krogstad will be showing his recent work of images from Italy at Peter Miller Books with the show opening on the First Thursday Pioneer Square Art Walk, November 6th,5-7 PM.
Gregg was a recipient of a fellowship from the Civita Institute allowing him to spend a month in the small Italian hilltop village of Civita di Bagnoregio. Every day was a new photographic adventure. His work explores not only Civita but other hill towns and villages in Italy.
Besides working with his usual Nikon Digital Camera for all the color work, Gregg also uses a 4 x 5 film based pinhole camera for his black and white photos. A pinhole camera has no lens or view finder and only a hand operated shutter. Each exposure is a game of chance with a bit of luck and skill tossed in. Come see the results. If you can’t make the first Thursday opening the show will be up all month.
