For this artwalk, we’re delighted to invite you to an amazing Kamanche performance by Kian Farahani played inside the gallery while the Careworn exhibition is still on view. Kamanche is an Iranian bowed string instrument used in Persian, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Kurdish, Georgian, Turkmen, and Uzbek music. Its expressive, emotional sound suits how we feel these days…
We will have two performances, each about 30 minutes long—one starting at 6:00 pm and one at 8:00 pm.
