PATHÉTIQUE

Studio 103 invites you to immerse yourself and feel the emotional flow with our resident artist, Joy Hagen’s latest works.
“I’ve heard the various movements of this piano piece many times, but it wasn’t until just recently that I came to understand the breadth and depth of this amazing composition after listening to all three movements in one sitting. I get goosebumps and tears come to my eyes just thinking about the totality of emotions this piece evokes. It speaks to all the feelings and fears I am having this year and gives me the inner strength to quit wallowing in my emotions and just make art, for heaven’s sake. So, I turn up the music full blast, get lost in its beautiful ebb and flow, and I make my art.”
