Little Crossing Over Place

On the map, notice the narrow strip of land from the original shoreline on S Washington St between 1st Ave S and Occidental Ave S. Native Americans named this important spot “Little Crossing Over Place”. At low tide, it was used to cross from the village to the mainland.
